High-efficiency audio power amplifiers using a voltage switching method have been studied. The necessity for a high-efficiency power amplifier is first outlined, followed by a detailed discussion on power supply, heat dissipation, and the efficiency of power amplifiers of different operational classes. The process of distortion reduction improvement for a voltasge switching amplifier is then described, and the practical aspects of the amplifier are discussed.
