The Effect of Bias Amplitude on Response at Very Short Wavelengths

Authors: McKnight, John G.

AES Convention 12 · Paper 171 · October 1960

Abstract

In recording with a standard ring head, the output is a function of the bias amplitude. The necessary bias for long wavelengths produces severe losses at very short wavelengths. Data are shown for these relationships, for 30 to 0.12 mil wavelengths.
