Transistor Preamplifier Power Supply Requirements

Authors: Weiss, Walter Ira

AES Convention 13 · Paper 217 · October 1961

Abstract

In addition to supplying the current requirements at the proper voltage, the designer of power supplies for transistorized preamplifiers must consider the acceptable levels of heat dissipation, noise, and voltage drift. A brief survey of the sources of these factors can quickly lead one to their reduction as cost allows.
