A properly windowed tone burst is used to evaluate the dynamic behavior of a loudspeaker within narrow frequency bands. A clear visual presentation is obtained simultaneously of the speaker`s frequency response and the transient behavior. Phase and signal delay information can be derived from the received test signal. The influence of room reflections can be eliminated to obtain anechoic data.
