The PCM tape recorder should perform the traditional function of recording for practical use in studios. Along with electronic editing, tape-cut editing will also play an important role in studio work. Advantages of tape-cut editing are: 1) Editing time can be minimized if splice points are not numerous. 2) Editing can be performed with only one PCM deck without expensive electronic equipment.
