Those Early Late Arrivals!! Mr. Haas, What Would You Do?

An in-depth Time Delay Spectrometry study of a multi desktop distributed sound system in a 131,000 cu. ft. room has been made. The validity of the fusion principle for arrivals from nearby desktop loudspeakers is questioned. The differences were neutralized by electronic delays of approximately 5 and 10 milliseconds with improved articulation and an apparent reduction in RT60. Subsequent research supports this argument. Hard data and spectrograms will be presented. Actual "before and after" recordings of connected speech transmission within the room will be made available for auditioning.
