An experimental wearable master hearing aid device has been developed for clinical studies of methods to improve perception capabilities of subjects having varied hearing impairments. In accordance with a specification of the National Institutes of Health, a multiplicity of parameter adjustments and transducer options provides more than 500 million permutations of operational modes.
