The design parameters, performance characteristics, and mechanical configuration are presented for a new series of aircraft communication devices utilizing noise-canceling electret microphones. These devices include a lightweight headset, a handset, and a hand-held microphone. Test procedures for measurement of the -noise-cancellation characteristic- are also discussed.
