Vibration Sensitivity Measurements on Subminiature Condenser Microphones

A recently introduced series of subminiature electret-condenser microphones has brought to light an interesting problem: Their vibration sensitivity is so low that an accurate measurement becomes difficult. New measurement techniques have been evolved which isolate the microphone under test from the effect of externally generated sound pressures. The effect of the "radiation pressure" created by the vibration of the microphone itself has also been accounted for in the overall measurement.
