Establishing a Loudspeaker`s Directivity Figure of Merit (DFM)

A method is described whereby the coverage angle and Directivity Factor can be scaled to judge the degree of efficiency with which a loudspeaker system provides its specified coverage. A Directivity Figure of Merit (DFM) is established that allows direct comparison of competitive loudspeaker systems in terms of which does the best job acoustically in providing coverage efficiently.
