AB - In this paper, the practical feasibility of head-related sound field synthesis using multi-driver headphones is explored. This method delivers a personalized listening experience without requiring prior information about pinna geometry. It is shown that the frequency-dependent parameters derived from detailed numerical simulations satisfy the essential requirements for practical implementation. The capability of head-related sound field synthesis to accurately replicate individual head-related transfer functions is highlighted, emphasizing its potential for real-world applications. Furthermore, the next steps regarding the realization and optimization of a multi-driver hardware setup are discussed.
