Corelink Audio: A JUCE-based Networked MusicPerformance Solution

Networked Music Performance (NMP) software enables real-time audio streaming for virtual music performances and collaborations. Corelink Audio, an open-source, user-friendly NMP solution, integrates JUCE for audio processing and Corelink for networking. JUCE efficiently handles audio processing, while Corelink, developed by the High Speed Research Network (HSRN) at NYU, provides networking capabilities for dynamic routing and high-performance data relay. Corelink Audio offers potential support for multi-plugin configurations and multi-modal integration. This paper details the architecture and technical specifics of the software. The systems performance, including latency measurements and audio artifacts under varying conditions, is also evaluated and discussed.
