AB - A critical discussion of the types of filters used for equalization is presented wherein bandwidth, phase, Q, and response relationships in the frequency and time domains and the effect of each on the audio signal are discussed. Common misconceptions concerning the differences and applications of active and passive filters are laid to rest.
