AB - The latest generation of sound reinforcement systems should not only aim to achieve excellent sound amplification but also to recreate a plausible spatial and room-acoustical impression. This paper describes an object-based sound reproduction approach based on assigning function groups to the loudspeakers planned in the design phase. Finally, it will be shown how these concepts are implemented in an actual theatre-style installation for 3780 people.
