AB  - An earphone, insensitive to depth, has been developed for underwater swimmers. The new earphone which offers substantially broader frequency response and greater loudness level without overloading than conventionally used -inertial earphones- was used successfully in a directional communications receiver for underwater swimmers. Some equal-loudness contours of the man-earphone system were determined.
