A -catalog- of impulse distortion wave forms is given which permits conclusions concerning the conventional response of systems by showing the influence which specific distortion products have on the waveform distortion of impulses. A quantitative means of evaluating such distortion as well as the test conclusions to be drawn are outlined with the aid of practical examples.
