Assessing the “Quality-of-the-Acoustics” at Large

When this author studied acoustics in the 1960s, architectural acoustics including room-acoustics was almost exclusively dealt with from the point of view of physics. In Germany we were taught from the seminal works of Cremer [1] and Kuttruff [2], for instance. Psychoacoustics was not considered hard science but “subjective,” and thus not taken seriously.
