AB  - This investigation involves the design of a guitar amplifier conducive to low-volume environments, such as the home studio. Design goals were increased headroom, a relatively flat frequency response (in the context of classic American and British designs), and exceptional tone at low volume. This lead to the adaptation of the Fender 5F6-A circuit. Measurements of the completed unit are provided as well as assessment by guitarists. All design goals were met.
