This paper describes a measurements methodology of spherical microphone array designed and developed for the purpose of soundfield recording. Presented work mainly focuses on the practical aspects of the microphone array impulse response measurements in anechoic environment. The main assumption is that proper acquisition of impulse response coefficients provides crucial information about characteristics of microphones and acoustic shadow of the sphere. Registered impulse responses are further used for generating beam patterns and building a Higher Order Ambisonics microphone.
