Abstract

The wish for an electronic piano has been expressed for many years, as music schools are interested in an instrument which can be used for group instruction. After a discussion of the properties of the usual piano with strings, an electronic instrument is described which has many advantages, such as small size, portability, stable tuning, and absence of direct acoustical output.
