Authors: Chaudiere, Herbert T.

Journal of the Audio Engineering Society · Volume 18 · Issue 6 · pp. 662–666 · December 1970

Abstract

Remodeling of the House and Senate chambers of the Washington State Legislature included acoustical treatment for reverberation and echo control and the installation of new sound reinforcing systems. The sound systems are a combination of central, high-level and distributed speakers with time delay. Equalization is utilized to provide adequate acoustical gain and improve sound quality. The criteria, design, installation and final results are discussed.
