AB - Loudspeakers and systems are commonly designed using anechoic chambers for sound pressure response curves and reverberation chambers for power-available-efficiency curves. These frequency responses, while repeatable, represent extreme acoustic conditions and do not necessarily correlate to average listening conditions which are semi alive environments. Jensen Engineers attempted to design a listening test that could be performed in the average living room. The test should meet the Engineering criterion of repeatability with different operators and different living rooms. As is common in N.A.S.A. space shots we achieved a partial success.
