Microphone Accessory Shock Mount for Stand or Boom Use

Authors: Plice, Gerald W.

AES Convention 38 · Paper 705 · May 1970

Abstract

The performance demands of microphones used on studio booms make vibration isolation a severe problem. A new shock mount accessory has been designed which offers excellent mechanical isolation within a small, unobtrusive package. A discussion is given, outlining the magnitude of the problem and its causes and the efficacy of the new design in helping to solve the problem.
