AB  - Given the complexity of audio equipment and software it is surprising the lack of published research into the design and evaluation of the interfaces for such technology. In recognition of the importance of this area of design, students on the BSc(Hons) Audio Technology programmes at Glasgow Caledonian University study the theory and practice of interface design as part of their degree studies. This paper looks at the aims of the syllabus covered, its main influences and issues surrounding its implementation.
