AB - Nonlinearities in full-range loudspeakers can result in amplitude modulation of mid and high frequency content by strong low frequency components. A measurement based on an established two-tone modulation distortion test can assess the amount of distortion produced and provide indication of the dominant nonlinearities causing the distortion. The paper discusses measurement and signal processing techniques as well as methods of data display for interpretation.
