AB - AES paper 5215 presented both 2-D Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and measurements to examine the effects of a single dominant reflection on the radiation of a loudspeaker. This earlier research is extended here by exploiting an analytic 3-D solution to the problem of an acoustic source located in a non-anechoic room. Unlike the earlier FEA solution, this method is mesh-less and provides an output at any point in space at any frequency. Applying the inverse Fourier transform, temporal data can be extracted to form a complete time and frequency domain description.
