AB - This paper presents a new audio process named Arkamys Sound Process. The process is based on the diffusion of sounds in an acoustic environment and the capture of these sounds with a specific device. The digital translation of this model results in a specific database made up of transfer functions that include the acoustic characteristics of the model and some optimizations. The implementation of the corresponding filters on a standard General Purpose Processor (1 GHz Pentium III) allows the processing of a stereo stream at 48 kHz. The paper focuses on the main properties of the process: sound field separation, envelopment and depth; bringing realism and naturalness on binaural, and transaural systems.
