Especially in large rooms and open spaces there are still to be found different systems of sound irradiation. The article provides a comparison of the advantages and disadvantages of the two irradiation systems. The mathematical-physical background is explained herewith, and it is demonstrated that hybrid solutions may also offer advantages. Finally the author describes examples.
