The acoustic characteristics of a car cabin are totally different from the environment of a normal listening room. Therefore it is necessary to analyze the different car cabins to find out what characteristics are valid for the reproduction and receiving of different program material in a car. In a measurement program cabin resonances, early reflections, damping systems, noise and speaker placement were analyzed to find out in which way they influence the reproduction of speech and music.
