Electrodynamic Loudspeaker with Baffle: Motional Impedance and Radiation

The purpose of this study is to provide us with the characteristics of the radiated field by an electrodynamic loudspeaker knowing the electric excitation of the voice-coil. This acoustic field, finally calculated from the so-called Helmholtz-Huygens integral, depends on the mechanical characteristics of the loudspeaker (masses, stiffnesses, dampings, Young modulus, and Poisson ratio of the diaphragm) and the radiation impedance, elements taken into account by a model for motivational impedance studied for this purpose.
