The measurement of frequency response, energy time envelopes, phase and group delay, impulse response, cepstral response, and directivity have been implemented with a dual channel FFT and a microcomputer post-processor. Using these tools, a compact, high performance midrange horn family has been designed to cover the range from 250 to 3500 Hertz. The horns combine low distortion with high acoustic output, and offer good pattern control. Representative data will be presented from this horn family and some other recent engineering projects.
