It is the object of this paper to discuss some of the phenomena which have been encountered in the course of equalization work in the field. The discussion applies specifically to -central cluster- systems which employ a single group of more or less directional loudspeakers. This arrangement is used whenever it is architecturally feasible. Other types of loudspeaker installation may present somewhat different problems and requirements.
