Abstract

Some of the criteria and conclusions reached in M. R. Schroeder's early reverberation papers require modification for accurate room simulation. Consideration of these changes led to a new design. A cost-effective hardware approach used an analog sampled data signal path with digitally controlled circuit elements. A general purpose microprocessor was used for control, enabling easy user interface.
