Balance Requirements of Equipment Connected to Telephone Lines

Authors: Swan, L. LeRoy

AES Convention 17 · Paper 422 · October 1965

Abstract

For some years heavier customer loads have increased the noise level on the telephone plant. Because of its important influence on noise the longitudinal balance of equipment used on program channels or those which transmit at higher than zero VU should be better than the pair to which it is connected. Tests are proposed.
