After reviewing the circuitry currently used by a number of phonograph manufacturers, the author proposes circuit designs to exploit the capabilities of the semiconductor unit which was introduced to the industry last November. The suggested circuits achieve higher output, reduce component cost and indicate the possibility of direct drive of the output stage.
