SynthTemple Studio Complex Tour
The SynthTemple Studio Complex is a Melbourne-based recording facility that blends vintage synthesizers with modern technology. The complex, located in Kew, houses one of the largest working collections of vintage synthesizers in the world, including rare instruments like three Yamaha CS80s, a Korg PS3300, and an Oberheim Eight Voice. The facility spans multiple rooms — Studio 1, Studio 2, a Solo Room, a Tech Workshop, and a Synth & FX Bank — with over 160 synthesizers, samplers, and drum machines, and more than 100 pieces of equipment connected via MIDI and controllable from anywhere in the complex. Co-founder, Tony Osmond will guide us through his design of this unique facility with its complex system integration. Studio manager (and world-class synthesizer technician), Steve Jones, will also give us his insight into operating in such an environment, and maintaining these vintage devices in peak condition.
