What Comes After Next In 2025, Michael took the AES Expo stage to argue that the future doesn’t arrive head-on—it arrives sideways, through unplanned recombination. That talk became a book, What Comes After Next?, launched in Canada at this event. This talk picks up where the book leaves off, pushing the argument a level deeper—past the question of what’s coming, into the harder one of what we should actually build in preparation and what we should stop building that never belonged there.
