Hearing Health & Assistive Hearing Technologies

The AES Sydney section, along with supporting partners Audeara, are holding a presentation on Hearing health and assistive hearing technologies. The event is focused on hearing loss, health and assistive hearing technologies.  The presentations and disucssion will focus on hearing loss and challenges for musicians, audio engineers and audio operators, and will include audible demonstrations, protection technologies and general ear health. Demonstrations of the modern assistive hearing technology including Auracast will be featured. This evening will be introduced by Dr William Martens with an overview of the ear and hearing, followed by hearing loss and hearing health by Dr Ian O’Brien and finally rounded out with applications and technical discussion of Auracast hearing assistance technologies by Dr James Fielding.
