AES PNW Presents — Audio Signals vs. the Ear: Time, Frequency, and Bandwidth Revisited
Often, we take our hearing for granted and as audio engineers, ignoring what is perhaps our most important tool is not entirely prudent. James D. (jj) Johnston, one of our resident experts, takes on an explanation of our hearing as well as hearing-related phenomena, covering the topic from sound production, room acoustics, physiology of hearing and psychoacoustics. This is a lot of material to cover, so the presentation is split into two sessions, with a break in-between.
