AES PNW Presents: An Evening with Larry Crane

Brief Event Description: What does it take to build a career around the thing you’re obsessed with? Larry Crane began Tape Op Magazine as a photocopied ‘zine because he couldn’t find the recording knowledge he was looking for. Thirty years later, it’s become the highest circulation publication on music making in the world for musicians, engineers, and producers at every level. Join us on Zoom for a candid conversation about the realities of studio life, the evolution of recording culture, and what Larry’s learned from decades of talking with people who make records. We’l spend the first 30–40 minutes in interview, then open the floor for audience questions. We will keep the meeting open for an open hang afterwards. We hope to see you there.
