AES Japan — Immersive Streaming via WOWOW Audio Outside Broadcast Vehicle

This session explores two immersive live-streaming productions delivered by WOWOW: the first-ever WOWOW On Demand live stream in Dolby Atmos, produced for pianist Hayato Sumino’s recital at K-Arena Yokohama on November 29, 2025, and a 360 Reality Audio Live stream for Momoiro Clover Z’s “Momoiro Christmas 2025 ODYSSEY”, held at Saitama Super Arena on December 21, 2025.
Presenters will discuss the technical challenges encountered in internet-based live streaming, as well as behind-the-scenes production insights, including the relationship between visual direction and immersive audio expression. Actual program material will be played during the session. A concluding discussion will address current challenges in immersive audio distribution and explore potential solutions for the future.
