Summary

Chair, Jameul Dye, moderated a panel of local location sound recordists. Panelists included Flip Borrero, Chris Harris, Nicholas Minter, Whit Norris, and J Strahl.

Each panelist began with their background and how they have worked to create a career in the industry. The various roles of location sound were discussed including boom op, utility, and mixing. Other topics included the Georgia location sound scene, what to expect on set, the endless ways to mic talent, ways to get into the industry, favorite gear, and an open Q/A with the panelists.

Gear was available for demoing in the Trew Audio showroom. At the end of the day, prizes (provided courtesy of our sponsors Trew Audio, Shure, and Lectrosonics) were raffled off.
