Getting Around in Gothenburg

Public Transportation Tickets

Gothenburg’s public transportation – from buses to boats – is operated by Västtrafik. All tickets and traveling cards can be purchased at any of Västtrafik’s sales outlets, or in the app To Go. Tickets can also be purchased from a variety of shops around Gothenburg, including 7Eleven and Presbyrån stores.

Västtrafik To Go makes it easier than ever to buy public transportation tickets right on your smartphone. The app is free and available for Android and iPhone.

Reseplaneraren (Travel Planning App)

With the app Reseplaneraren you can easily look up routes, departures and schedules for trams, buses, boats and trains.
