Network Audio Systems

Mission Statement

To inform the AES and other organizations on issues pertinent to our committee’s focus area, with an emphasis on local-area and wide-area networks. The emphasis accompanies a major increase in network scale, bandwidth and quality of service, making it possible to consider brand new classes of audiovisual applications, as well as unconventional and high-performance implementations of existing ones.

• Networked and distributed performance
• Audio Video Bridging
• Audio networking interoperability including AES67
• AES67 interoperability testing
• Real-time networking

• Track and recommend standards development for audio networking
• Assemble and organize workshops and other AES convention activities related to audio networking
