Arup, in partnership with AES, is pleased to announce the 5th Annual Diversity in Audio Scholarship. This scholarship is to support underrepresented and unique voices in the industry and to provide an opportunity for students to connect with and learn from leaders in the profession.
The recipient of the scholarship will be invited to attend the 2026 AES Fall Convention October 30 – November 1, 2026, in Nashville, TN, where they will have the opportunity to experience the full range of learning and development opportunities offered throughout the show. A professional from Arup’s Audiovisual team will accompany the student to offer support throughout the event, as well as mentorship and career guidance.
One student will receive $2,000 towards travel, accommodations, and costs associated with attending the convention.
Eligibility & Criteria
• Students enrolled in a full-time academic program
• Demonstrated interest, coursework, or experience in a field related to Audio Engineering & related technologies
• Priority will be given to students who identify as a member of an underrepresented community in the field

- Resume or CV
- Optional: Letter of Recommendation
Membership in AES is not required. Students are expected to attend the full duration of the convention.
Timeline
Applications for the 2026 Scholarship must be submitted by Friday September 4, 2026. Applications received after this date will not be accepted. Incomplete applications will not be considered.
Winner will be notified by e-mail by Monday September 14, 2026.
