AES Distinguished Speakers Program (DSP)
Global Expertise
Fostering a global roster of experts to share technical presentations across the society's global community since 2004.

Global Knowledge Exchange
The Distinguished Speakers Program was created as a strategic initiative to establish a roster of touring guest lecturers who are available to provide technical presentations at the meetings of local sections throughout the Society.
Our goal is to provide a wealth of interesting meetings for all sections, large and small, enhancing their activities and stimulating increased membership and participation. A special fund has been created as the result of an initial contribution by Ronald Streicher, during his term as AES President.
How the Program Works
The Distinguished Speakers Program connects AES Sections with leading audio professionals, providing educational presentations, industry insights, and funding support to strengthen local member engagement worldwide.
The Speakers
Regular business travelers with the time and expertise to offer technical presentations. Speakers are reimbursed up to $500 for travel.
Regional Sections
Local AES sections can host world-class speakers through a formal request process designed to enhance member activities.
DSP Coordination
Our Headquarters Coordinator manages speaker matches, paperwork, and fund oversight to ensure seamless operation.
Support & Funding
Corporations are encouraged to support their employees in providing technical presentations. Contributions to the DSP Fund are tax-deductible and recognized in the Journal of The Audio Engineering Society.
