Report of the Meeting of the SC-04-09 Working Group on Assessment of acoustic annoyance, held online, 2023-10-11.
Chair David Josephson convened the meeting, patent policy read, introduction of attendees, agenda approved, report of previous virtual meeting held 2022-10-10 approved.
In attendance were Richard Cabot, David Prince, David Josephson, Joel Brito, Scott Dorsey, Benjamin Goldman, David Andrews, John Grant.

AES-X248 Assessment of Acoustic Annoyance
It was agreed that the WG will start work on an information document surveying the existing standards and tools available. The chair suggested that he would have a draft outline in the next month, Ben Goldman will summarize n-above and time-above metrics, David Prince will survey current practices as they apply to sound from entertainment events.
Rather than advance new metrics, the goal of this work is to identify current practices that can be applied to assessment of unwanted sound introduced into an acoustic environment.
