Projects assigned to this group but not mentioned here had no action requested or required - see www.aes.org/standards/meetings/project-status.cfm for details.
AES5-R Review of AES5-2018: AES recommended practice for professional digital audio - Preferred sampling frequencies for applications employing pulse-code modulation
This standard is due for review. Consensus in the meeting was that it should be reaffirmed..
AES10-R Review of AES10-2020: AES Recommended Practice for Digital Audio Engineering -- Serial Multichannel Audio Digital Interface (MADI)
There had been no progress on MADI over twisted pair since the previous meeting. Implementations exist using the same format as on co-ax and also using Fast Ethernet PHY chips which need a larger inter-frame gap than is currently specified in AES10. No text has been proposed for either method. The meeting proposed moving AES10 to the Annex until it is due for review (in 2025).
AES53-R Review of AES53-2018, AES Standard for digital audio - Digital input-output interfacing - Sample-accurate timing in AES47
This standard is due for review; the title refers to AES47, which has been stabilised, but it is also referenced by other standards. It was revised in 2018 to follow changes in a standard to which it refers; the meeting felt that reaffirmation would be better than stabilisation in case any further revision is needed in future.
