AES Standards Manager Rich Cabot convened the meeting, patent policy read, introduction of attendees, agenda approved, report of previous virtual meeting held 2021-05. Chair David Josephson joined late and led the discussion that followed, starting with Menachem Rafaelof’s report on a related paper published in the September JAES.

AES-X248 remains in scoping mode. There was discussion about imminent release of ISO 532-3 which is a standardized application of Cambridge-method loudness. Peter Mapp will report back on activities of the TC-ASR which is investigating entertainment and sporting event noise exposure into communities, and David Josephson will report on developments in a community background noise standard being considered by SAE A-21.
There is no liaison work now underway.
No new projects were proposed.

The next meeting will be scheduled in conjunction with the AES 152nd Convention, to be held online in May 2022.
