AES-X253 Standard for Audio Collection Guidelines in a Field/Unknown Location
Hansen, serving as Interim Chair for SC-03-12 provided a brief overview of the activities of OSAC – SPEAKER (US Office of Scientific Advisory Committees – focused on forensics), as well as the history of the a document which had gone through the OSAC-SPEAKER committee process. The document is the foundation for this project. R. Cabot highlighted the document from OSAC and it’s migration to AES format. Hansen reviewed the current AES X253 document and highlighted the scope and topic areas. There was discussion on various sections and feedback from those attending. A follow up meeting will take place once attendees are able to provide written comments on the current document. An Abstract must be created for this project as well.
